SUMMER CAMP
Camp Phillips Merit Badge Program
At Camp Phillips, those who have been in the Boy Scouts for a period of over 1 year do the merit badge program. In this program, Scouts select merit badges they have not yet done to do throughout the day. Throughout the day, the scouts will go to their merit badges where the Camp Phillips staff guide them through the requirements for that merit badge. In a week, this camp can help you complete 5 merit badges.

First Year Camper (FYC)
Program
If it is your first year in Boy Scouts, you will not do the Merit Badge Program. Instead you will do the First Year Camper program (FYC), which helps you complete Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class requirements. The Camp Phillips staff will guide you through the requirements for those Rank Advancements. In a week, this camp can help you complete Tenderfoot and almost finish Second Class.

Other Camp Phillips Imformation/Activities
In camp, you will have some free time. There are many activities you can do. If you want to go swimming, you can go swimming in the lake. However, if you want to go swimming you have to bring a buddy and show them your swimming tag (handed out on the first day) to get in. If you brought money and could use a snack, you can go to the Trading Post and get ice cream treats, slushies, candy, or even a pizza if you're really hungry.
For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, everybody goes to the dining hall. Each troop has 2 assinged tables to sit at. The food is served by the serving patrol for that meal, and everything is cleaned up by the same patrol. The food is cooked family-style, so everything is in big bowls or trays.
